Stop At: Bateshwar Temples, On Banks of Yamuna River, Agra 283104 India

Bateshwar (1 hour)

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and driven to the National Chambal Sanctuary situated at a distance of 90 miles from Agra. The drive to the sanctuary takes around three hours.

En-route, stop at the town of Bateshwar, known for its series of Lord Shiva temples on the banks of the River Yamuna. Some of the temples date back to the 12th century, and the main temple contains thousands of brass bells. Of the original 101 temples, only 42 remain now.

National Chambal Sanctuary (2 hours)

From Bateshwar you will be driven to the National Chambal Sanctuary. Your two-hour river safari begins here, where you will board a motorboat accompanied by a naturalist who helps you spot wildlife and tells you about the river’s native animals and vegetation. Look out for gharials (members of the crocodile family) basking in the sun, watch for migratory birds, and try to spot freshwater dolphins.

Once your tour will be finished you will be driven back to fixed point / your hotel.
