Ahmedabad Trip Overview
The One With A Plan has very thoughtfully curated a one day outing for all history lovers, who would like to stroll through some of the amazing architectures and stories that Indian heritage has gifted us.
We start from Ahmedabad in an AC van and reach Modhera in 2-2.5 hour and visit mesmerizing Sun temple and adjoining step well of modhera, then we move to Ran ki Vav, which is 30-35 min drive. We visit this amazing piece of architecture, ornamental sculptures and stepwell which has been recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Then we visit the Patola Museum and taking our lunch on the way, we reach to Sidhpur. There we would visit the famous Matrugaya temple and then finally visit Voharwad. This puts an end to our day long break dedicated to our glorious past and then we return back to Ahmedabad.

This was the first sun temple created in the pious city of Modhera close to the ancient capital Patan in the year 1026 AD. It is a beautiful archeological monument built to worship Sun as a god.

Stop At: Rani Ki vav, Near the Patan Highway, 384265 India
Rani ki vav is the biggest stepwell located in Gujarat, which houses more than 800 ornamental sculptures of hindu gods and goddesses, built in the year 1065 and is also one of a UNESCO world heritage site.

Stop At: Patan Patola Heritage, Kalika Road Patola House, Opp.New Kalika Mandir, Patan 384265 India
Patola is 1000 year old art of weaving clothes through hand. It takes roughly around 4-5 month to develop a saree (5 meter of cloth worn by Indian women) and we are going to walk through this traditional art of weaving in the world famous museum

We are going to walk through the deserted streets of sidhpur which houses colorful european styled houses built by prosperous traders trading with european colonies. Later on as they migrated to other countries, the place got deserted

Stop At: Bindu Sarovar, Sidhpur India
This is a religious and spiritual site mentioned in ancient hindu scriptures, where in they have stated the importance of this place, which is the only place in India where all hindus can help their mother attain Moksha (Nirwana) by doing rituals here. Hence this is also called Matrugaya
