Itinerary
Day 1: The Icebreaker
Pass By: Balaghat, Balaghat, Balaghat District, Madhya Pradesh
Agenda:
1. Participants arrive by afternoon at Balaghat

Day 2: The Curtain Raiser
Pass By: Kanha National Park, Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh
Start Point: Balaghat End Point: Mukki
Distance: 77 KMs. Elevation: +668 m/ -440 m
The starting point will be Balaghat. As soon as you start pedalling, you will notice civilisation dissolving within 5 kms making way for the wilderness. After riding through beautiful countryside for about 15 KMs you will encounter an 8 kms long but beautiful climb, which will plateau at Laugur village. Here you can stop and recharge before continuing further on a road full of constant crests and troughs. Towards the end you will reach Baihar town, but we don’t want you to stay in the town, so we continue a little past the town and reach our campsite near Mukki gate, where you can relax and unwind in the nature.

Day 3: In the Land of Sherni

Start Point: Mukki End Point: Mukki
Distance: 142 KMs. Elevation: +2390m/ -2381m
Todays is a long day on the saddle where you go on a circular route. You will be riding through dense and green forest patches and picture-perfect villages like Malumjhola, where you will witness the raw and rustic rural lifestyle. Minute observation of tribal lifestyle in terms of – their attire, minimalism and being completely in tune with the surrounding habitat, makes the entire experience one of its kind. We cross into Chattisgarh state briefly before coming back into Madhya Pradesh. We will ride a serene 15 kms patch on a state highway to Motinala from where we will turn towards Mukki and will again ride through the forest.

Day 4: The Jungle Symphony
Pass By: Khatia, Khatia, Mandla District, Madhya Pradesh
Start Point: Mukki End Point: Khatia
Distance: 54 KMs. Elevation: +558m/ -614m
This will be a relatively smaller and relaxing ride after the previous 2 days of taxing rides, where you may imbibe the sights and smells of the forest and listen to the symphony that the jungle orchestrates for anyone ready to lend it an ear. It comprises of a wide assortment of bird songs during the day time and insect sounds as the night falls. In the evening you can look forward to Jungle Safari and tribal dance performances by Baiga tribe.

Day 5: The Epilogue

Start Point: Khatia End Point: Balaghat
Distance: 112 KMs. Elevation: +729m/ -912m
Today we will travel back to Balaghat from Khatia. This route can be termed as the icing on the cake! This is because most of the route is downhill as it goes through beautiful forest on both sides. On the way we will come across the Kalapani wildlife experience centre. Enjoy the downhill but be safe! There is a small 5 kms stretch where construction is in progress. This will be a slight inconvenience otherwise from Lamta to Balaghat you can soak in the entire beauty of Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Tour Ends by Lunch time and participants can leave for their next destinations after lunch.
