Day 1: Bangalore to Mysore enroute Somnathpur
Stop At: Mysuru (Mysore), Mysuru (Mysore), Mysore District, Karnataka
Day 1: Bangalore to Mysore enroute Somnathpur
Morning pickup from yur hotle/airport in Bangalor and get driven to Somnathpur Keshava temple. Somnathpur- This town is home to the famous Chennakeshava Temple built by the Hoysala commander, Somnath, in 1268 A.D is a live example of the heritage and culture of the Hoysala Empire and this temple was constructed using the soapstone. A monumental beauty, the architectural design of this temple attracts people from all over the world. The Archaeological Survey of India has declared it as a heritage site. Continue the drive to Mysore, Arrive mysore and transfer to the hotle. Later visit Witness the statue of bull Nandi, Vahana or “Vehicle” of Lord Shiva, which is 4.9m tall and 7.6m long and carved out of a single piece of black granite. Experience a session of meditation and a short introduction to yoga. Also visit Mysore Palace. Overenight stay at the hotle in Mysore.

Day 2: Day 2: Mysore to Hassan to visit the Belur and halebidu temples

Day 2: Mysore to Hassan to visit the Belur and halebidu temples
Morning breakfast at the hotel and later get driven to Hassan, Arrive Hassan and transfer to the hotle. Later visit : The Chennakeshava Temple in Belur was constructed on the orders of “Vishnuvadhana” the Hoysala king himself to celebrate an important military victory in 1117 AD against the Cholas in battle of Talakad. the king wanted an extraordinary temple, and has been built in an architectural style (Hoysala Style) which was new to the region. The monument is exceptionally large and its decoration is very lavish. The decorations for this temple still continued after the king by his various successors over a time period of nearly 103 years. Hoysaleswara Temple Halebidu city was then known as Dwarasamudra (gateway to the seas). The height of Hoysalan art and architecture is inherited in the temple of Hoysaleshvara at Halebidu. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Also opposite to the temple is a big statue of Nandi. It took more than eighty years to construct partially and was left uncompleted. The temple is richly ornamented with most intricately carvings. The wall inscriptions include endless display of gods, human, animals and images of war, hunting, music, and dance. Finally we drive back to Hassan for an overnight stay
