Stop At: KR Market, Near Avenue Road-Mysore Road junction, Bengaluru 560002 India

We start the walk at Bangalore’s largest wholesale market. Guests will experience a sensorial extravaganza with the market’s myriad smells, colors and sounds

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Bengaluru Fort, Krishna Rajendra Rd, New Tharagupet, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560002, India

We will visit Bangalore Fort. Built-in 1537 by Kempe Gowda the founder of Bangalore as a mud fort, it was reinforced with stone by Tipu’s father Hyder Ali in 1761. We will talk about how the fort played a role in the Anglo Mysore wars between Tipu and the British forces led by the legendary Lord Cornwallis. Note The fort is closed on Sundays and hence if the booking is for a Sunday, this cannot be visited.

Stop At: Kote Venkataramana Temple, Krishnarajendra Road, Bengaluru India

We visit the magnificent Kote Venkataraman Temple. Built in the 17th century this temple follows an archietcure style which is a fusion of Dravidian and Vijayanagar elements. This temple provided the setting for the treasure hunt in the book Riddle of the Seventh Stone.

Stop At: Tipu Sultan Fort and Palace – Bangalore KR Market, Allbert Victor Road Chamrajpet, Bengaluru 560018 India

The Summer Palace of Tipu is a fascinating structure with teak pillars and frescoes. The Palace captures key milestones in Tipu’s life including his early life, economic and social reforms undertaken by him, his victories and eventual defeat as well.

Stop At: Tipu Sultan’s Armoury, Kalasipalam New Exte, City Market, Kalasipalya, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560002, India

We will stop at the 200-year-old armory. This is where Tipu used to store his weapons for this many battles with the British.
