Itinerary

Day 1: Chennai to Delhi by Flight + City Tour and 3-Hrs drive to Agra

Pass By: New Delhi, New Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi
Pickup at 4:30am approx from your hotel in Chennai and transfer to the Airport for Flight to Delhi. Arrival at 9am approx Delhi Airport, then proceed on the half-day city tour of Delhi.

Stop At: Qutub Minar, Qutb Minar, Mehrauli, New Delhi 110030 India
In New Delhi you’ll visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206. You’ll also see the India Gate, a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan War, and drive past government buildings including the President’s House and Parliament House (Dating back to the time of British Raj).

Day 2: Agra City Tour and 4-Hrs drive to Jaipur

Stop At: Taj Mahal, Dharmapuri, Forest Colony, Tajganj, Agra 282001 India
Pickup at 6am early morning at sunrise we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour ».
After Taj Mahal visit back to the hotel for breakfast.

Stop At: Agra Fort Rakabgani, Agra 282003 India
After breakfast, next we, enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.

After then four hours drive to the old walled city of Jaipur. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa-Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. The city’s ancient palaces and forts have borne witness to countless royal processions and fabulous splendor.

Stop At: Fatehpur Sikri, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra District, Uttar Pradesh
You’ll also make a stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri (At your own expanse), which has been described as the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.

Day 3: Jaipur City Tour and 4-Hrs drive to Delhi

Stop At: Amber Palace, Devisinghpura, Amer, Jaipur 302001 India
Meet your guide at your Jaipur hotel in Jaipur at approximately 8am. Begin the tour by visiting the Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City and is beautifully reflected in the lake below. Inside the fort, you will encounter the world-renowned Jai Mandir temple with its dazzling Sheesh Mahal hall of mirrors. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, illuminating the entire room.

Stop At: Jal Mahal, Amer, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India
Continue the tour by making a photo stop at Jal Mahal around 11am. This Rajput style “Water Palace” sits in the center of the Man Sarobar lake. The lake is often dry during the summer, but the winter monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake filled with water hyacinths.

Stop At: Hawa Mahal – Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
Next, you will visit the Hawa Mahal, another Rajput landmark also known as the Palace of the Winds, for more photo opportunities. The five story Hawa Mahal was built in 1799A.D. along the main street of the old city. It is a pink sandstone masterpiece with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows.

Stop At: City Palace of Jaipur, Tripolia Bazar Near Jantar Mantar, Jaipur 3023002 India
After lunch, proceed to the City Palace, the principal residence of the ruling family, known for its stunning architecture. Part of the palace is now converted into a magnificent museum. You’ll also see Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory built in the 18th century.

Stop At: Carpet And Textile House, Kanwar Nagar, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
Time permitting you will also get a look at Jaipur’s cottage industry specializing in hand-woven carpets & textiles. Witness how silk carpets are made by hand.
