Begin your tour of the northern part of Goa at Miramar Beach, located at the mouth of the Mandovi River on the outskirts of Panjim. This palm-lined stretch of golden sand is a beautiful spot from which to watch the waves lapping the shore. Ascend Altinho Hill to gather stunning views of the local countryside; see tropical forests, a fertile river delta, and idyllic beaches lining the Arabian Sea. You can also enjoy the activities at beach.
Continue to Old Goa to observe notable landmarks pertaining to Portuguese colonial rule. Marvel at the majestic baroque exterior of Basilica Bom Jesus and walk across its marble floor, gazing up at the intricate and ornate decoration. Complete your journey through Goan Christian history at Se Cathedral, a truly magnificent building and one of the largest churches in all of Asia.
