Day 1: Arrive Guwahati

On arrival at Guwahati airport assistance and transfer to hotel check in.

Later city tour visit Kamakhya Temple – one of the most venerated Shakti shrines in India, and is regarded as one of the Shakti Peethams associated with the legend of Shiva and Daksha Yagna. Navagraha Temple – is dedicated to the nine planets in the solar system is a center of astrological and astronomical research. Umananda Island – the smallest river island in the world, here man and the wilderness co-habit in peace and serenity. Umananda Temple is a Shiva Temple built in 1594, by the Ahom King of Assam. Evening enjoy a magnificent sunset over the majestic Brahmaputra River on a cruise.

Day 2: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (200km/ 4hr approx)

Pass By: Kaziranga National Park, Kaziranga National Park, Golaghat District, Assam
Breakfast at hotel, sightseeing in Guwahati if not done on previous day. Drive to Kaziranga National Park and check in at resort. Rest time free and easy to relax.

Day 3: Kaziranga National Park

Early morning explore central Range of Kaziranga National Park on Safari. On return explore the eastern range. Return for lunch and proceed to Western Range of Kaziranga National Park.

Kaziranga National Park; A World Heritage Site, the park hosts two-thirds of the world’s Great One-horned Rhinoceroses. Kaziranga boasts the highest density of tigers among protected areas in the world and was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006. The park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Kaziranga is recognized as an Important Bird Area by Birdlife International for conservation of avifaunal species. Compared to other protected areas in India, Kaziranga has achieved notable success in wildlife conservation. Located on the edge of the Eastern Himalaya biodiversity hotspot, the park combines high species diversity and visibility.

Kaziranga is a vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests, crisscrossed by four major rivers, including the Brahmaputra, and the park includes numerous small bodies of water. Kaziranga has been the theme of several books, songs, and documentaries. The park celebrated its centennial in 2005 after its establishment in 1905 as a reserve forest.

Day 4: Kaziranga – Majuli (150km/ 4hr approx)

Breakfast at resort followed by morning safari in Kaziranga National park.

Pass By: Majuli, Majuli, Jorhat District, Assam
Post lunch drive to Majuli till Nimathi-Ghat to connect to a local ferry to cross mighty Brahmanputra river with co-passengers on board! The ferry ride will a little more than one hour or so, depending on the current of the water. After reaching Kamalabari Ghat continue driving for 8km to your lodge for about half an hour! Explore local village of Mishing tribe nearby, meet local, have with tea or local rice beer at their place. Later visit and interact with the local mask-maker.

Stop At: Mishing Village, Majuli India
Majuli – perhaps the largest river island is a treasure of cultural heritage of the region. The founder of ‘Eka Naam Dharma’ Srimanta Shankardeva took shelter in Majuli in the Fifteenth Century and ever since that Majuli has emerged as the crowning glory of Vaishnavaite culture in Assam. Majuli has a unique treasure of natural and cultural attractions. A melting point of various tribes, Majuli is multifaceted in its attractions that unfurls to its vanity are the rare migratory birds like Adjutant Stork, Pelican, Siberian Crane, etc.

At Majuli visit Kamalabari Satra, Mask making Center and Auni Ati Satra by bicycle. Dinner and overnight at guest house/ homestay.

Day 5: Majuli – Jorhat (40km / 1hr approx)/ Flight
