At 6am, meet your driver at your hotel / airport any other desired pickup location in Jaipur then four hours drive to Agra.

Reach Agra and First, visit the wonderful Taj Mahal, UNESCO World Heritage site (closed on Fridays). The world’s best-known tomb stands testimony to the timeless love story of the 17th century Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan and his queen Mumtaz Mahal.

Stop At: Priya Restaurant, Fatehabad Rd, near Shanti Mangalik Hospital, Tajganj, Agra, Uttar Pradesh 282001, India

In the early afternoon, take a break for lunch which will be enjoyed at one of the best local air-conditioned restaurants (meal not include).

Afterwards, make your way and visit another UNESCO World Heritage site, Agra Fort. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D., this huge fort is made of red sandstone. Walk through the maze of the courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the fort which echo the story of the Mughal Empire.

Around mid-afternoon, enjoy a photo tour of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh (own expense) The Moonlight Garden which is believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the Taj on moonlit nights far away from the maddening crowd. The garden complex is situated on the left bank of Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal.

You have the option to enjoy shopping in the early evening in Agra. The city is known for its fabulous handicrafts made of marble and softstone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra’s major handicraft products besides inlay work are: leather-ware, brass-ware, carpets, jewelry and embroidery work.
