Stop At: Parade Ground, Centre Of Fort Kochi, Kochi (Cochin) India

Right in the middle of Fort Kochi, geographically and also in the sense of its activity is the parade ground.
We will start the walking tour in Fort Kochi from Vasco House, a 500-year-old structure that was home to the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama
At Parade ground, you’ll get to watch the locals playing their game of choice from cricket, football to baseball. Parade ground also has some of the most interesting buildings in Kohi and we will some of them and share stories from local and global history that connects to these buildings.

The building that once housed a prominent Dutch governer is now an art gallery and cafe. We will talk about the 3 eras of colonial rule and the cultural, culinary and built heritage that all 3 have left behind.

We will walk through the Bazaar road of Kochi and visit a spice shop. You get to experience first hand the spices for which people travelled for centuries to the shores of Kerala.

Stop at local cafe which was once a bustling pepper godown for a glass of ice tea and also visit a warehouse converted to a boutique hotel, to understand what went behind the restoration of this heritage building.
We will also stop at other interesting shops in the bazaar.
