Itinerary
Day 1: Cochin – Kumarakom
Pass By: Old NH 47, Willingdon Island, Kochi, Kerala, India
You are picked up at either Kochi airport or your hotel at 8.30 am by your driver and proceed to Kumarakom via NH 47. Your drive takes you through small villages, paddy fields to reach the Kavanattinkara jetty. Approx driving time 2 hours
Pass By: Kavanattinkara, Kumarakom, Kerala, India
You are met at the jetty point at Kavanattinkara to take a complimentary boat ride to reach your resort which is accessible by boat only. Approx 15 minutes boat ride through Lake Vembanad.
Stop At: Coconut Lagoon – CGH Earth Resort, Kottayam – Kumarakom Rd, Kavanattinkara, Kumarakom, Kerala 686563, India
A traditional welcome awaits you at this beautiful resort situated on the banks of Lake Vembanad. Evening 4.30-5pm enjoy complimentary tea/snacks from the tea canoe. Later a saree/dhoti draping demo at 5pm at the Shop. At 5.30 pm leave for a complimentary sunset cruise to the accompaniement of a flutist in a traditional riceboat. Evening cultural programme at restaurant.Overnight at resort

Day 2: Kumarakom – Cochin
Stop At: Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, Kumarakom India
Early morning optional complimentary yoga session at 7am. After which you can take a tour to the closeby Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary famous for its migratory birds.
Later you can take an optional complimentary tour to the butterfly garden or enjoy some ayurvedic therapies on own at additonal cost at the ayurveda centre.

After breakfast at the restaurant you are transferred to Kavanattinkara jetty point via a complimentary boat transfer and take the NH 47 to Cochin at a driving distance of approx 2 hours
Stop At: Church of Saint Francis, Old Kochi, Kochi (Cochin) India
On arrival at the city of Cochin you proceed to St Francis CSI Church built in 1503 and one of the oldest European Church in India. The Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama died in Cochin in 1524 and his remains were buried here for 14 years and later transferred to Portugal.

Stop At: Chinese Fishing Nets, Fort Kochi Beach Kochi-682001 Kerala India, Kochi (Cochin) 682001 India
Walk around the Fort Cochin area and see the old Dutch settlements and reach the widely photographed Chinese Fishing Nets. At a nominal cost the fisherman are happy to show you the operation of these nets. Take a photostop.

Stop At: Paradesi Synagogue, Jew Town Rd Mattancherry, Kochi (Cochin) India
Next visit the Paradesi Synagogue also called the Jewish Synagogue popularly. It is located in Jew Town and is the only one of the seven synagogues in use. It shares its walls with the Mattancherry Palace. After your visit here you can walk around the popular Jew Town. After this you are dropped off to either Cochin airport or your hotel.
