Day 1: Cochin

Stop At: Mattancherry Palace, Palace Road, Kochi (Cochin) India
The Mattancherry Palace is a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace, which features Kerala murals ,wood crafts, an ivory palanquin, a howdah, royal umbrellas, ceremonial dress used by the royalty, coins, stamps and drawings. Buiding itself reveals the excellance of Kerala Architecture.

Stop At: Paradesi Synagogue, Jew Town Rd Mattancherry, Kochi (Cochin) India
The Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. It is constructed in 1568 The Paradesi Synagogue has the Scrolls of the Law, several gold crowns received as gifts, many Belgian glass chandeliers, and a brass-railed pulpit. It houses the 10th-century copper plates. The floor of the synagogue is composed of hundreds of Chinese, 18th-century, hand-painted porcelain tiles, each of which is unique. A hand-knotted oriental rug was a gift from Haile Selassie, the last Ethiopian emperor.

Saint Francis Church, in Fort Kochi (Fort Cochin, originally built in 1503, is one of the oldest European churches in India Vasco da Gama, the Portuguese traveller died in Kochi and his body was originally buried in this church, but after fourteen years his remains were removed to Lisbon.

Stop At: Hill Palace Museum, Hill Palace Rd, Tripunithura, Kochi (Cochin) India
Hill Palace is the largest archeological museum in Kerala. the palace complex consists of 49 buildings in the traditional architectural style, spreading across 54 acres. The complex has an archaeological museum, a heritage museum, a deer park, a pre-historic park. The museum displays 14 categories of exhibits including Crown and ornaments of Cochin royal family, paintings, sculptures in stone and marble, weapons, inscriptions, coins etc.

Day 2: Cochin to Munnar

Pass By: Neriamangalam Bridge, Kerala, India
The Neriamangalam Bridge, built across the Periyar river, is often referred as ‘The Gateway to the Highranges’ especially Munnar. The bridge was made by the Maharaja of Travancore in 1935.

Pass By: Ranikkallu, Kochi-Madurai-Tondi Point Rd, Kerala 685561, India
This beautiful stone monument is called Ranikallu, which means ‘the stone of Queen’ was established here by the Travancore king to commence the construction of the famous ‘Neriamangalam Bridge’. This was installed by Rani Lakshmi Bhai, the Regent of the Travancore kingdom at that time.

Stop At: Cheeyappara Waterfalls, Kochi-Madurai-Tondi Point Rd, Idukki 685561 India
Cheeyappara Waterfalls is one of the waterfalls on the way to Munnar, which is very active in Monsoon and post monsoon. This Waterfall cascades down in seven steps.

Valara features a chain of waterfalls falling from a height of about 1000 feet and provide a magnificent view. These waterfalls are surrounded by lush, dense forests that are home to a variety of animals and birds.

Day 3: Munnar – Sight seeing

Stop At: Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park, Munnar India
Eravikulam National Park is the first national park in Kerala. Twenty six species of mammals have been recorded in the park including the largest surviving population of Nilgiri Thar. Every year it will be closed nearly for two months due to their calving season, normally in February and March

Mattupetty Dam is a storage Concrete Gravity dam built to conserve water for hydroelectricity. The large amount of perennially available water allows wild animals and birds to flourish. Boating facilities are available.

It got its name due to the natural phenomena ECHO. Its a good scenic photo shoot place

Stop At: Kundala Dam Lake, Top Station, Munnar India
Kunadala Dam is a nice picnic spot with its beauty and the climate. Boating facilities, horse rides are available

Stop At: Kannan Devan Tea Museum, Nullatani Estate, Munnar India
The country’s first ever Tea Museum. The aim of the Tea Museum is to depict the growth of this more-than-a-century-old tea plantation district. From the rudimentary tea roller to the present day, fully automated tea factory at Madupatty, the Tea Museum gives a first hand knowledge about tea processing and the operations that go into the making of black tea

The Rose Gardens of Munnar is spread over 2 acres of land, is an excellent stretch that is brimming with a variety of plants, including spices, crops like cardamom and vanilla, and a variety of other fruit trees. These agricultural plantations exude mesmerising and wonderful aromas.

Day 4: Munnar to Thekkady

The main activity in Thekkady is the boating at man made lake and this is the only wild life sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close from the safety of a boat on the lake. The probable animals to watch are Bison, Gaur, Wild Elephants, Sambhar and a wide variety of birds.
