Itinerary

Inspired by the cooking techniques of the Mughal Empire, Awadhi cuisine is indigenous to the city of Lucknow. The concept of food being cooked on dum was invented by the rakabdars (royal cooks) of Awadh and the concept is considered to be synonymous with Awadhi cuisine. With a deep-rooted history and a rich culture that is evident in its use of ingredients, Awadhi cuisine is truly a royal fanfare.

Join your host Sheeba at her home for a hands on cooking class where you will get the opportunity to prepare a few authentic Lucknowi dishes. Post the cooking session you can head to the dining area and enjoy the scrumptious meal with Sheeba. Feel free to ask her any queries you have regarding the food and the culture in Lucknow!

The entire experience will last for around 2-3 hours.

Note: This is not a professional cooking class, but an opportunity to interact with a local family and learn the tips and tricks of Indian cooking.
