The Taj Mahal Palace hotel is an iconic heritage hotel built opposite the Arabian Sea and is located just across the Gateway of India. This hotel has been witness to history unfolding in Mumbai and played host to various Heads of States and other dignitaries. It was also one of the targets of the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks. The hotel has since then been totally restored. Walk around this beautiful hotel and you could visit the coffee shop at your own expense.

Marine Drive is also known as the Queen’s Necklace because, when viewed at night from an elevated point anywhere along the drive, the street lights resemble a string of pearls in a necklace.
