later. After this, we end your time with an evening tour that starts with a ride on Mumbai’s train to enter Mumbai’s street food hotspots. As the night comes in
and the city lights up, you can get some wonderful views of the Queens necklace and other lit buildings of this city.

Starting the walk with the temple of the talking Goddess, we go ahead into the market that transports you to the land of stories. What ‘s fascinating is that nothing has changed since the time of the first settlement – Be it the way they make their nets, catch their fish, do their business, their beliefs, the custom or age-old traditions.

Following the Nicherin branch of Buddhism, this fifty year old temple has a beautiful Buddha statue – A rarity in Mumbai. People come here to worship not only the idol, but also the lion-hearted resident Monk.

Chor Bazaar’s literal translation is the Thieves Market, although, it was born on the premise of ‘Shor’ Bazaar, which meant a noisy market. It was named so, because it was used to house mechanics and their repair garages.
For the collector there is aplenty – Furniture from the Raj, rare electronics like vintage gramophones, out-of-print LPs, hand-made film posters time – It’s not uncommon to find a genuine antique here.

A walk through Bohri Mohulla, introduces you to the namesake, Bohra Muslims, a business community that found its way to India from Yemen in the 16th century.
