This photographic tour of Mumbai starts at Dawn. You get to photograph the biggest newspaper distribution network, colorful fruits, vegetable and flower markets. You also get to walk past one of India’s favorite cricket ground before getting down and wet in an exclusive walk inside the worlds largest open Air Laundry.
You reach just in time for breakfast and once you’ve charged your batteries, had some rest and eaten lunch – its time to walk out and explore the city again. We then move to the spices and thieves markets, covering Mumbai’s famed spice market and even more popular Chor Bazaar.
You will get to photograph housewives lining up to make their quintessential spice mixes in the former and see a stall for everything under the sun at the later. After this, we end your that with a ride on Mumbai’s train to enter Mumbai’s street food hotspots. As the night comes in and the city lights up, you can get some wonderful views of the Queens
necklace and other lit buildings of this city.

Stop At: Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, DN Road Mumbai CST Area, Mumbai 400001 India

Possibly the most architectural stunning building in India, Victoria Terminus Railway Station, now CST, sees a record of six hundred and sixty thousand footfalls daily, making it the busiest station in Mumbai. The first train operated in India departed from here in 1853.

In the middle of night, when the sky is pitch black and the rest of Mumbai is fast asleep, the wholesale produce market in the neighbourhood of Byculla is a hive of frenetic activity.

Stop At: Dhobi Ghat, Dr. E. Moses Rd. near Mahalakshmi Station, Mumbai India

Visit the area where the laundrymen, more popularly known as the Dhobhis, wash the clothes of Mumbai-folks. You will see the Dhobhis at work, flogging and beating the clothes tirelessly to ensure it is devoid of any stain. With nearly most of Mumbai’s washing done here, it comes as a little surprise that these guys can be safely christened as the ‘Washing Machines’ of Mumbai.

Guntur, Bedki, Reshampatti or Kashmiri; no we are not planning a travel itinerary. These are the names of the variety of chilies one would find in the lalbaug spice market. This market is also home to spice mixes so authentic, which the pickiest grandma would approve.

Chor Bazaar’s literal translation is the Thieves Market, although, it was born on the premise of ‘Shor’ Bazaar, which meant a noisy market. It was named so, because it was used to house mechanics and their repair garages.
For the collector there is aplenty – Furniture from the Raj, rare electronics like vintage gramophones, out-of-print LPs, hand-made film posters time – It’s not uncommon to find a genuine antique here.

A walk through Bohri Mohulla, introduces you to the namesake, Bohra Muslims, a business community that found its way to India from Yemen in the 16th century.
