Also known as Dutch Palace, which features Kerala murals depicting Hindu temple art, portraits and exhibits of the Rajas of Kochi. Mattancherry Palace is situated at Palace Road, Mattancherry, Kochi. It was built by the Portuguese and presented to Veera Kerala Varma (1537–65), Raja of Kochi, in 1555 AD

The factory situated inside a tea garden where you can watch ehe entire life cycle from being a leaf on the branch to being packed in the covers ready for dispatch is really fascinating.

Day 3: Periyar National Park
Stop At: Periyar National Park, Banks Of Artificial Periyar Lake, Thekkady India
Periyar National Park, also known as Periyar Tiger Reserve, is in the mountainous Western Ghats of Kerala, southern India. This wildlife sanctuary is home to tigers and a significant elephant population, as well as rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards and Indian bison. In the park’s north, Periyar Lake is popular for boat rides. Farther north, spice plantations surround the town of Kumily.

Day 4: Thekkady to Kumarakom
Stop At: Kumarakom, Kumarakom, Kottayam District, Kerala
Kumarakom is a village on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala, southern India. It’s laced with canals, where houseboats ply the waters. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to many species including cuckoos and Siberian storks. Nearby, the Bay Island Driftwood Museum displays wooden sculptures. In the lake, Pathiramanal Island is a haven for rare migratory birds.
