On your arrival at the international airport in Delhi and after clearing customs & immigration, our representative will receive and escort you to your hotel.

Delhi, the capital of India, is a city that offers a glimpse of both ancient and modern-day India. It is the third-largest city in India and one of the fastest-growing in Asia. This city is rich in culture, constantly changing with time but never hiding its splendid past. The various ancient ruins seen in the city are silent witnesses to its glorious history.

Day 2: TOUR OF DELHI

SALAM BAALAK TRUST After breakfast, we will proceed on the Salam Baalak Trust Walk. Walk into the Street Life of Delhi-The Salaam Baalak Trust City Walk aims to make the story of the street children heard and give us a glimpse of their world through their own eyes. This walk takes you on a journey through the backstreets of Delhi with a child fully trained as a local guide. Meet these young and ambitious children who are ready to take on the world. They consider their life on the streets as an experience rather than a tragedy.
These champions of life will certainly teach you how to face life’s problems with courage.

TOUR OF OLD DELHI Once the most opulent fort and palace of the Mughal Empire, a tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting Jama Masjid – the largest mosque in India and driving past the Red Fort. As a group, we will walk through the streets and markets of the Mughal empire’s 17th-century imperial capital city, where once royalty descended. You will savour the fragrances of the boisterous Spice Markets, one of Asia’s largest and be dazzled by the glitter of India’s largest Jewellery markets with a mix of walking and rickshaw rides. You will
discover hidden gems while exploring the narrow alleys and 350-yr old markets of the city built at the acme of the Mughal Empire, India’s most glorious monarchy. Later enjoy the rickshaw ride to one of the busiest markets.

RICKSHAW RIDE: A ride in the old city market laid by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan would give you an experience of a lifetime. Pass through the colourful shops of bustling Chandani Chowk, one of the largest wholesale markets in Asia also an essential landmark in the history of India. If you feel up to it, take a short walk in the market and explore another facet of Indian life.

Day 3: DELHI – RAIPUR – KANHA

Stop At: Kanha National Park, Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh
After breakfast transfer to the airport to board the flight to Raipur.

Upon arrival in Raipur and drive to Kanha National Park (200 km / 4 hrs drive). Our drive takes us through the rural countryside & colourful towns & villages with a stop in the sleepy village of Mandla (sacred city for Gond tribes), where the Narmada River, the second holiest to the Ganges, is the center of activity.

Set on The Chhota Nagpur Plateau in Madhya Pradesh, Kanha provides breathtaking vistas of grassy plains and strands of sal forests. This 366 sq mile preserve was formed to save two endangered species; the Tiger and the Barasingha. One of India’s largest and most scenic National Parks, Kanha is an ideal
habitat for tigers and prey. The lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines of Kanha shelter a significant population of rare species such as tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Barasingha, and wild dog, to name a few.

Day 4: SAFARI IN KANHA NATIONAL PARK

Stop At: Kanha National Park, Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh
Early morning wake-up call with a knock on your room door and Tea/Coffee.

You will wake up to misty mornings and the sounds of birds calling, which will make an exciting start to your day. As soon as dawn breaks, leave for your Jungle Safari, accompanied by a resident naturalist and forest park guides in 4x 4 Jeeps. In the winter months, morning safaris require warm clothes and woollen caps and gloves to keep you warm from the wind chill factor in your open jeep. We provide blankets and sometimes even a hot water bottle to keep you comfortable—picnic breakfast in the middle of the Jungle with a cup of hot Tea or Coffee.

Day 5: KANHA NATIONAL PARK

Stop At: Kanha National Park, Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh
We will do another safari day through Kanha National park.

We are staying with the family whose heritage dates back three generations in Tiger Conservation.

Kailash Sankhala was the founder-director of Project Tiger, under which the inception of the Project Tiger Reserves in India took place. Their Grandchildren run and manage Kanha Jungle Lodge. We will
have a first-hand opportunity to interact with them and spend an evening watching the Award-winning documentary TIGERLAND. Made by Discovery Channel and premiered at Sundance Film Festival, it focuses on two passionate people trying to save the Tiger. One of them is Kailash Sankhala.

Day 6: KANHA TO PENCH

Stop At: Pench National Park, Pench National Park
After driving to Pench (240 km/ 4 – 5 hr drive), we will visit a local village and school en-route.

On the way to Pench, we will visit some surrounding villages and schools to understand their way of life, which is unique and different from the people living in the city. Their simple, attractive red-tiled roofs – neat and clean homes, colourful attire in saris, traditional ways of cooking on firewood, and cultivation by traditional methods- are an eye-opener.

In the afternoon we will do a safari in Pench National Park.

Pench is where we will find the Project Tiger Reserve and has been one of the best-kept secrets among wildlife enthusiasts.

Day 7: PENCH NATIONAL PARK

Stop At: Pench National Park, Pench National Park
Day 7 – We will embark on early morning & evening game safaris into Pench National Park.

Safaris in Pench are organized in 4×4 open jeeps. Local guides and naturalists are at hand to enhance the experience.

Day 8: PENCH – NAGPUR – UDAIPUR

Stop At: Udaipur, Rajasthan, India
Early morning transfer to Nagpur airport to board connecting flight to Udaipur via Delhi.

Upon arrival at Udaipur, transfer to the hotel.

Udaipur, popularly known as the City of lakes, was founded in 1559 by Maharana Udai Singh II. The beautiful city of Udaipur houses 5 pristine lakes with Pichola being the most impressive. The Old City of
Udaipur is dotted with numerous historic temples, Havelis and baoris (Step wells). Through our carefully designed heritage walking tour, we aim to show you diverse cultures, traditions, and craftsmanship.
Udaipur is a city is made up of mysteries, histories, and stories. Behind the buildings and beauty that keeps changing and developing with time, there are some things which stay intact and if you actually
want to understand some city, it is important that you understand the base of it, you look and know the city the way its citizens look at it.

Day 9: UDAIPUR – CHANOUD GARH

Stop At: City Palace of Udaipur, Jagdish Temple Rd City Palace Complex, Udaipur 313001 India
After breakfast, we will proceed to our city tour of Udaipur.
We will start our tour with Udaipur’s “City Palace Complex, “ with its marble and granite walls laden with miniature paintings and decorated with tiles, glasswork and mirrors; it’s a great insight into the
lives of the royalty.

Udaipur City Palace is one of the architectural marvels of Rajasthan, located peacefully on the banks of Lake Pichola. This majestic City Palace is the most-visited Palace in Udaipur and is often
distinguished as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Initially, Maharana Udai Singh built this amazing wonder, but the present form of the Palace is the result of subsequent additions by his
successors.

Stop At: Jagdish Temple, RJ State Highway 50, Udaipur 313001 India
After the City Palace, we will visit the Jagdish temple followed by a Walking Tour to discover the hidden quarters of this romantic city, which offers an excellent opportunity to get under the city’s skin.

The Jagdish temple is located in the City Palace complex of Udaipur; this temple is constructed in the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. In 1651, Maharana Jagat Singh built the Jagdish temple, which ruled
Udaipur from 1628-53. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayan), the preserver of the Universe. It is the largest temple in the city of Udaipur.

Afterwards, drive to Chanoud Garh (200 km/ 4 hrs) en-route visit to Ranakpur Temple.

Stop At: Ranakpur Jain Temple, Desuri Tehsil, Sadri 306702 India
Home to the Jain Temples, acclaimed worldwide for their intricate and superb architectural style. These temples form one of the five major pilgrimages of the Jains. Built in the 15th century, the Ranakpur temples are the Jain cult’s largest and most important temples. The temple complex is positioned in an isolated valley on the western side of the Aravalli Range. It is wholly constructed in light-coloured
marble and comprises a basement covering an area of 48,000 square feet, with more than 1,400 exquisitely carved pillars supporting the structure.

Day 10: CHANOUD GARH

Stop At: Rang Mahal, Surara Mohalla, Chamba HP, Dalhousie India
Breakfast at Rang Mahal.

Time for you to put on your walking shoes, a pair of khakis and a cap as you get ready to experience the village and its people, always accompanied by a village man; this walk is for guests to absorb a
slice of village life. You will make your way to the village school on this guided walk, meandering through the market and village houses.
It’s an authentic cultural experience you will never forget.

We recommend you wear something appropriate for the village experience to respect the
sensibilities of the village culture. Please do not wear shorts or tight revealing tops. Instead, we suggest a long sleeve top with pants and/or a shawl, which will fit the bill perfectly.

Return to the hotel for lunch with a perfect afternoon
siesta.

Stop At: Rang Mahal, Surara Mohalla, Chamba HP, Dalhousie India
We will take a quick drive through the fields to understand the agricultural patterns. Depending on the season, you will either see a flat, cracked ground (in dry months) or an ocean of water filled with migratory birds (in rain-filled months) or the salt pan stretching for miles and surrounded from all sides by the ancient Aravali hills. As you drive through the flat arid lands, you will see the herders returning home with their herd and womenfolk carrying firewood for cooking the evening supper.

Day 11: CHANOUD GARH – JODHPUR

Stop At: Jodhpur, Jodhpur, Jodhpur District, Rajasthan
Rao Jodha Ji, who claimed descent from Lord Rama (the hero of epic Ramayana), founded Jodhpur, the former capital of Marwar state, in 1459. The city was built as a result of warring brothers. Jodhpur and
its historical origins are best revealed by countless cultural celebrations happening here. The Marwar festival, an annual feature, is the most inspiring spectacle of the region. A variety of Rajasthani folk music and dance performances introduce the audience to the local folklore. The mighty Mehrangarh Fort perched on a hillock and breathtaking Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is now one of the world’s best heritage hotels, certainly offers a glimpse of what this popular attraction in Rajasthan is all about.

Jodhpur offers its visitors an unbeatable blend of modern and ancient that divides the city neatly into two parts, Old and New. The Old Jodhpur is crammed with the famous blue-painted houses and
consistently mushrooming hotels catering to hippie culture.

Day 12: JODPHUR

Stop At: Mehrangarh Fort, Fort Rd., Jodhpur 342006 India
After breakfast, we will visit Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone Hill, including Moti-Mahal and Phool Mahal. We will also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing Marble Memoriam built in 1899.
Mehrangarh Fort: Spread over 5 km, on a stiff rugged hill and looking down from a height of about 100 meters, the fort appears invincible and impenetrable from the outside. But houses some of the most intricately adorned palaces with exquisitely carved panels and latticed windows. Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana are some of the important palaces of the region.

Stop At: Jodhpur District, Jodhpur District, Rajasthan
Jodhpur Heritage Walk: Jodhpur, the capital, was founded by Rao Jodha in the mid-1400, a proficient Rajput king belonging to the Rathore Clan. The City retains its medieval feel with numerous step wells, ancient temples, historic havelis and Blue houses. Dive deep into the heart of Jodhpur to discover the lesser-known treasures of this enchanting City. Learn about exciting legends from the past, peep into the life of locals, meet and interact with the City’s residents, wander through narrow alleyways dotted with Indigo-coloured houses.

As we have mentioned before, the soul of a city is usually within its people and the personalities you meet.

Hence, today’s lunch will be inside the fortress walls in a traditional home, with a family who invites visitors to
their home.

Stop At: Maharani Textiles, Near federal bank, Kannur India
Post lunch, we get into Tuk-tuk’s and make our way towards the old City near the Clock Tower. You may not know, but Jodhpur is a major handicraft and textile export hub. We will visit Maharani Textiles (even if it’s just for the experience). From the front, it’s indiscreet, but as you squeeze up the first set of narrow stairs into the labyrinth of colourful (floor-to-ceiling) heaps of shawls and carpets, you know you’re somewhere special. You might say that textile houses in India are a dime a dozen, but the family’s heritage sets Maharani apart from the rest. It’s 98 years old, and the present owners are the fifth generation in this business.
