Day 1: Arrival Delhi and 3-Hrs drive to Agra

Pass By: New Delhi, New Delhi, National Capital Territory of Delhi
Pickup from Hotel/Airport/Railway Station in Delhi. Adventure begins with warm welcome by our driver/representative & drive leisurely to the home town of Taj Mahal – Agra, via Yamuna Express Highway, it takes us through the beautiful countryside.

Stop At: Mehtab Bagh, Nagla Devjit Etmadpur, Agra India
Early evening visit Mehtab Bagh — the moonlit garden (at your own expense) believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the Taj on moonlit nights, far away from the maddening crowd, The garden complex is situated on the left bank of Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal. Here you can witness the sunset over the Taj Mahal.

Day 2: Agra Full Day City Tour

Stop At: Taj Mahal, Dharmapuri, Forest Colony, Tajganj, Agra 282001 India
Pickup at 6am early morning at sunrise we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour ».

Next we, enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.

Stop At: Fatehpur Sikri, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra District, Uttar Pradesh
After Lunch leave for Excursion to Fatehpur Sikri (A Unesco World Heritage Site) is 01 Hrs drive from Agra. It has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town”. Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.

Stop At: Carpet House Agra, HIG-27, Taj Nagri Phase-1, Agra 282001 India
After sightseeing – Shopping in Agra is known for its fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and softstone inlay work. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra’s major handicraft products besides inlay work are: leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewellery and embroidery work.
