9am Pickup from the airport, railway station or your hotel in New Delhi and proceed on the half-day city tour of New Delhi. In New Delhi we visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206.

The India Gate, a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war and drive past the grand government buildings, including the President’s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of the British Raj.

Day 2: Agra City Tour and 4-Hrs drive to Jaipur

Stop At: Taj Mahal, Dharmapuri, Forest Colony, Tajganj, Agra 282001 India
At 6am, early morning at sunrise we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour »

After breakfast, enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.

After Agra visit drive to the old walled city of Jaipur. Founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this ‘pink city’ is meticulously constructed on the lines of the Shilpa – Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. The palaces and forts of yesteryear, which were witnesses to the royal processions and splendors, are now living monuments.

En-route stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri (own expense), which has been described as “the world’s most perfectly preserved ghost town.” Built by Akbar in the late 16th century, it was abandoned after only 14 years, and the elegant buildings of this superb walled city remain intact to this day.

Day 3: Jaipur Full Day City Tour

Stop At: Amber Palace, Devisinghpura, Amer, Jaipur 302001 India
After breakfast we proceed to visit the Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City and is beautifully reflected in the lake below. Inside the fort, you will encounter the world-renowned Jai Mandir temple with its dazzling Sheesh Mahal hall of mirrors. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, illuminating the entire room.

Stop At: Hawa Mahal – Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
Hawa Mahal was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and is the most stunning sight in the city of Jaipur.

Stop At: City Palace of Jaipur, Tripolia Bazar Near Jantar Mantar, Jaipur 3023002 India
After lunch, proceed to visit City Palace, the principal residence of the ruling family and is known for its stunning architecture. Part of it is now converted into a magnificent museum. Jantar Mantar is a stone observatory raised in the 18th century.

Stop At: Jewels ‘N’ Arts, Shop No. 2 Amer Road, Samod Haveli Way, opposite Ayurved College, Chokdi Gangapol, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302002, India
Time permitting, you will visit the cottage industry specializing in hand-woven carpets and textiles. Here you can witness how silk carpets are handmade.
