Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi + City Tour

Stop At: Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid), 6 km North of Connaught Pl. across from Lal Qila, New Delhi India
Pickup at 9am from Airport/Hotel and continue city tour. Visit Jama Masjid, this mosque is the largest mosque in India.

Stop At: Qutub Minar, Qutb Minar, Mehrauli, New Delhi 110030 India
In New Delhi we visit the 11th century Qutab Minar Tower, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty, who took possession of Delhi in 1206. It is a red sandstone tower, standing tall at a height of 72.5 metres and is covered with intricate carvings and verses from the holy Qur’an.

Pass By: Red Fort, Netaji Subhash Marg, New Delhi 110002 India
Drive past Red Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) – Founded by Emperor Shah Jahan and surrounded by a magnificent 18m-high wall, this fort took 10 years to construct (1638–48) and is rumored to have had the decapitated bodies of prisoners built into the foundations for luck.

Raj Ghat On the banks of the Yamuna River, this peaceful, very well maintained park contains a simple black-marble platform marking the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination in 1948.

Parliament House also known as the Sansad Bhavan consists of the the two houses/assemblies of India, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha and drive past the grand government buildings, including the President’s House and Parliament House all dating back to the time of the British Raj.

Next we, enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.

We visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. It’s a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour ».

Stop At: City Palace of Jaipur, Tripolia Bazar Near Jantar Mantar, Jaipur 3023002 India
You will visit the City Palace and Ovservetory which is located in the heart of the old city. Once the royal residence of the King of Jaipur, the palace was built using a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal styles. It features carved arches, intricately crafted columns and two carved marble elephants that guard the entrance.

Stop At: Hawa Mahal – Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
Next, you will visit the Hawa Mahal, another Rajput landmark also known as the Palace of the Winds, for more photo opportunities. The five story Hawa Mahal was built in 1799A.D. along the main street of the old city. It is a pink sandstone masterpiece with semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows.

Stop At: The Gem Palace, M I Road Jayanti Market, Jaipur 302001 India
Enjoy shopping in Jaipur, famous for jewellery, semi precious stones, woolen carpets and cotton rugs. Beautiful cotton fabric including sanganeri prints, tie-dye, and fine kota doria sarees are the best buys for women.

Day 4: Jaipur Half-Day City Tour + 4-Hrs drive to Delhi

Stop At: Jal Mahal, Amer Road, Jaipur 302002 India
Continue the tour by making a photo stop at Jal Mahal around 11am. This Rajput style “Water Palace” sits in the center of the Man Sarobar lake. The lake is often dry during the summer, but the winter monsoons frequently turn it into a beautiful lake filled with water hyacinths.

Stop At: Amber Palace, Devisinghpura, Amer, Jaipur 302001 India
Begin the tour by visiting the Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City and is beautifully reflected in the lake below. Inside the fort, you will encounter the world-renowned Jai Mandir temple with its dazzling Sheesh Mahal hall of mirrors. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, illuminating the entire room.
