Day 2: Delhi Sight Seen

When the capital shifted from Agra to Delhi, Shah Jahan constructed Red Fort in 1939 it was the main residence of the Mughal Dynasty and is located in the city center. It is made from red sandstone and that is where it gets its name from. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007.

Qutub Minar is a five-story tapering tower with a height of 73 meters. The spiral staircase in this minaret has 379 staircases. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and visited by many every day.

Stop At: Friday Mosque (Jama Masjid), 6 km North of Connaught Pl. across from Lal Qila, New Delhi India
One of the largest mosques in the country, Jama Masjid is made up of red sandstone and marble. It was constructed by Shah Jahan and is visited by hundreds of people every day. The courtyard of the mosque can accommodate about 25,000 people and was built for about one million Indian Rupees.

After breakfast, drive to Ranthambore. En-route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, via Fatehpur Sikri (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Built-in the 16th century, this ancient fortified city was once the capital of the Mughal Empire. The complex includes Diwan-i-Khas building, which has a beautifully carved pillar at its center and the Panch Mahal Palace.

On reaching Ranthambore, check-in at the hotel. Ranthambore also called the Abode of Tigers is renowned as one of the few places that offer the highest number of Bengal Tiger sightings. Located in Sawai Madhopur, it also offers deep insights into the traditional village life of Rajasthan. Day 5: Ranthambore Sight Seen

Stop At: The Ranthambore Safari Tours, Near Hotel Ranthambore National Resort Ranthambore Road, Sawai Madhopur, Sawai Madhopur 322001 India
The Ranthambore National Park is a wide expanse of wilderness in Ranthambore. It is a favored spot for avid travelers and photography enthusiasts. It is renowned as one of the topmost places in India with the highest number of Bengal tiger spotting. It also comprises of a year-old Ranthambore Fort, overlooking the entire sanctuary. Head for an early morning Ranthambore Wildlife safari where you will soak in the natural beauty and rich wildlife including Leopards, Jackals, Gazelle, Boars, etc. – especially Tigers. As per the 2014 census, there are about 62 tigers present here. Also, watch animals moving around freely around the lake in this national park. After a thrilling safari ride, return to the hotel. Settle in for breakfast and relax for some time. Later in the afternoon proceed for a safari to Ranthambore National Park and continue exploring this natural habitat of various wild animals.

Jal Mahal – (6 kms) on the way to Amer, this small palace is set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Renovation around the lake is in progress.

Spend one hour to explore Maharaja’s City Palace. City Palace of Jaipur was originally the administrative and ceremonial seat of Maharaja of Jaipur which was constructed in 1721. It was also the location of religious and cultural events that took place at that time. It now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum and continues to be the home of the Jaipur royal family.

The building of Albert Hall Museum was built in 1876 as a concert hall. The museum gets its name from the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, because of the similarity of architecture. The foundation for the building started in 1876, when Prince of Wales visited Jaipur. When the building was constructed, the royals and government did not have any idea about usage of the building. It was initially used as Town Hall in 1880. Later, the King of Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II suggested using it as a museum for Industrial Arts. Later, the hall was used for displaying masterpieces of local artisans.

In 1881, the museum was at its prime beauty and people from across the country visited this museum to buy or enjoy handicrafts, artwork and other masterpieces. However, the building was under construction until 1887. Later, the museum started to showcase artifacts and ancient artworks along with budding artist’s masterpieces.

Chand Baori was built during the 8th and 9th centuries and has 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry, which descend 20m to the bottom of the well.
