Day 1: Pickup from Delhi and drive to Agra to visit the world famous monuments

this 16th century fortress is located closer to Yamuna River in Agra. This fort was built as a military base by Akbar and was converted into royal residence by Jehangir, his descendant. This fort was designated with the title of World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983.

City Palace is right in the centre of the Old City. The outer wall was built by Jai Singh II, but within it the palace has been enlarged and adapted over the centuries. There are palace buildings from different eras, some dating from the early 20th century. It is a striking blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture.

The observatories, or “Jantar Mantars” as they are commonly known, incorporate multiple buildings of unique form, each with a specialized function for astronomical measurement. These structures with their striking combinations of geometric forms at large scale have captivated the attention of architects, artists, and art historians world wide, yet remain largely unknown to the general public.
