Stop At: Mehrauli Archaeological Park, Anuvrat Marg Opposite Qutub Minar Metro Station, New Delhi 110030 India

Ancient Stepwell of RAJON KEE BAOLI: This baoli is named Rajon ki Baoli after masons who resided in the chambers. The baoli has a vertical shaft for drawing water and hollow passageways. Hidden ruins around this mysterious stepwell adds up to the adventure.

Stop At: Barakhamba, New Delhi, Delhi, India

then proceed to “Agrasen ki Baoli” which is definitely an architectural marvel. It has three stories and 108 steps which goes down to the well. Agrasen Ki Baoli also has a resemblance to the baolis or baodis (stepwells) in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The water inside the well of Agrasen Ki Baoli is said to hypnotise people and allure them to commit suicide. It is said that the well had black water, which mysteriously killed people. People don’t go there in the evenings due to the stories abouth place as being haunted.

Now We star tour old Delhi adventure from “Haveli Dharampura” which is a late Mughal-style haveli (built around 1887) that has been restored to its former grandeur . The grand entrance welcomes you into an aangan with a small fountain (and a welcome drink of kanji), fenced off by an art gallery on the left and the restaurant straight ahead. The jharokas and windows have stained glass art and decorated balconies with dancers practicing for the evening and the atmosphere full of thumris and ghazals. its rooftop offer mind boggling views of Old Delhi and the red fort also.
Soon you will find yourself on “Khari Baoli” in the heart of Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. Here you find can find hundreds of shops dealing in refined, local and exotic spices. This large market area is rich in color and photographic opportunities, and is well worth seeking out and spending some time, especially if you plan to visit the Old Delhi area and want to enjoy the bazaars in the area.
