He planned and built the outer walls, and later additions were made by successive rulers continuing up to the 20th century. Visit Jantar Mantar also known as observatory. This is also another masterpiece which has the biggest sundial erected in 18th century. This is where you see the traditional Indian way of time keeping, leaving of astronomer etc.
