During the reign of Shah Jahan, there was a tree-lined canal running through its centre, reflecting the moon. Hence, the name “Chandni Chowk” came to being which means “moonlight place”. Shopping at Chandni Chowk is fun as the market is distributed in several streets and these narrow streets are inundated with vibrant varieties of clothes, Spices perfumes, electronic items, jewellery, candles & much more. Apart from shopping, this place is equally famous for its eateries, Street food, and Indian snacks.

After you have visited old Delhi next visit, Raj Ghat An elementary square platform of black marble on the banks of Yamuna River symbolizes the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated followed by his assassination in 1948. A dedicatory ritual takes place each Friday, in his memory.

Next visit Gurudwara Bangla Sahib which is a Sikh Temple located in the heart of the Capital City. It is one of the most important & Sacred Sikh Shrine. The grounds include the Gurudwara, a kitchen, a large (holy) pond, a school, and an art gallery. As with all Sikh Gurudwara, the concept of Langer (Community Kitchen) is practised, and all people regardless of race or religion may eat in the Gurdwara kitchen (langar hall). The food is prepared by gursikhs who work there and also by volunteers who like to help out. At the Gurdwara, visitors are requested to cover their head and not to wear shoes. Anyone can volunteer in the Gurudwara.

Finally, visit Qutub Minar (Unesco world heritage site) The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 AD. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture & has survived the ravages of time impressively. This great masterpiece is surrounded by lush green gardens.
