The Laxminarayan Temple (also known as Birla Temple) is a Hindu temple dedicated to Laxminarayan. Laxminarayan usually refers to Vishnu, Preserver in the Trimurti, also known as Narayan, when he is with his consort Lakshmi. The temple was constructed by an industrial Raja Baldev Birla & was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939. With a condition that the temple would not be restricted to the Hindus but people from every caste, creed & country would be allowed inside.
Jama Masjid (The Friday Mosque) is the congregational mosque of Old Delhi. It was commissioned by the fifth Mughal ruler known as Shah Jahan. Who was a noted patron of Islamic architecture whose most famous work is the Taj Mahal, in Agra. The mosque is sited on a high plinth atop a natural hillock. it is the largest mosque in India & Due to its magnificence and size, it is often regarded as the apotheosis of Indian mosque design.
One of the oldest markets of Delhi, Chandni Chowk Old Delhi’s main thoroughfare which is a chaotic wholesale market lined by hawkers and porters offering full medieval bazaar experience. During the reign of Shah Jahan, there was a tree-lined canal running through its centre, reflecting the moon. Hence, the name “Chandni Chowk” came to being which means “moonlight place”. Shopping at Chandni Chowk is fun as the market is distributed in several streets and these narrow streets are inundated with vibrant varieties of clothes, Spices perfumes, electronic items, jewellery, candles & much more. Apart from shopping, this place is equally famous for its eateries, Street food, and Indian snacks.

Qutub Minar is a world heritage site. The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak and later completed by his successor Iltutmish. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture & has survived the ravages of time impressively. This great masterpiece is surrounded by lush green gardens, which is an ideal leisurely place for visitors. Each of the 5 storeys and tower of Qutub Minar has unique designs. It was hit by lightning a couple of times and was damaged & subsequent rulers repaired it. Thus it is standing mightily as it was before till date.
