In the year 1631, construction of this iconic monument was started. About 22,000 laborers and 1,000 elephants completed the construction in 22 years. This epitome of love was entirely built using white marble (brought from every part of India and central Asia). The construction was completed in the year 1653 and included an expenditure of 40 million rupees approx. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and has been enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage site built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Arjumand Bano Begum, popularly known as Mumtaz Mahal. This white mausoleum was built in Mughal architectural style.

Note: Taj Mahal remain closed on Friday.

After the breakfast – Proceed to visit Agra Fort which was built in 1565 A.D. by the Mughal Emperor Akbar The Great. It is popularly known as the Agra Fort which was built on the banks of River Yamuna covering an area of almost 2.5 km this fort was built using red sandstone, housing several buildings inside.

After visiting the fort can have Lunch (on own expenses) and continue for other activities like Marble Inlay, etc.,
