Situated in the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi, Gurdwara Sis Ganj is one of the nine historical Gurdwaras of Delhi. It was first constructed in 1783 to commemorate the martyrdom of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur, who was beheaded at this spot on the orders of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb for his refusal to convert to Islam. The Gurdwara is located in a crowded part of Old Delhi and is visited by devout pilgrims in large numbers.

Gurdwara Rakab Ganj is located near the Parliament House in New Delhi. It was built at the same time as Gurdwara Sis Ganj. It stands on the spot where the mortal remains of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur were cremated by a faithful disciple who burnt his house down in order to cremate the Guru. Standing near Connaught Place, one of the commercial districts of Delhi, the Gurdwara is very popular due to its easy accessibility from other parts of the city.

Located next to the Sacred Heart Cathedral in New Delhi, the golden dome and tall flagpole of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is an important landmark of New Delhi. The Gurdwara was originally a mansion of the Maharaja of Jaipur. The eight Sikh Guru, Guru Har Krishan stayed here during his visit to Delhi in1664. He tended to the sick during the cholera and smallpox epidemic in Delhi from this mansion. Later he himself succumbed to the disease. A small water tank stands in the precincts of the Gurdwara. Its waters are believed to have curative properties. A school and an art gallery are also located within the Gurdwara.
