Rishikesh Trip Overview
Kauri Pass Trek has been a favourite with many mountaineers. Mr. Shipman in his book- Nanda Devi writes about crossing this pass with these words, “The top of the pass was reached by 7 o’clock (am) of a clear, cold morning and we were privileged to see what must be one of the grandest mountain views in the world.” It is a fairly moderate trek with mix of the Himalayan life, village life, culture, pristine wilderness, wild life and great Himalayan range. On a clear day one can see mountains like Nanda Devi (7816m), Dunagiri (7066m), Kamet (7756m) and many more.

Itinerary
DETAILED ITINERARY:
Day 01: Rishikesh – Ghat 2000m/ (9-10hrs):
We start our trip with an early morning drive to Ghat and then to Chefna (the starting point of the trek). On arrival at the campsite dinner will be served with overnight stay in tent.
Day 02: Chefna – Ghuni ( 2550m/ 3-4hrs):
Day 03: Trek to Semkherk Meadow (2600m/ 5-6hrs):
Day 04: Trek to Kaliaghat (2700m/ 6hrs):
Day 05: Trek to Dhakauni – 3400m via Sartoli -3000m (8-9hrs):
Day 06: Trek across Kauri Pass (Kauri Khal- 3800m) 5-6 hrs to Tali:
Day 07: Trek to Dakbend or Auli (2500m) Drive to Joshimath:
Day 08: Drive Rishikesh (9-10hrs):
Morning After breakfast, drive to Rishikesh. Lunch is on the way. Trip ends at arrival in Rishikesh.
