Itinerary

Day 1: Srinagar to Gulmarg night trip with Tangmarg sightseeing

Stop At: Tangmarg, Tangmarg, Baramulla District, Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir
You will be greeted by our travel guide at Srinagar Airport on your arrival. After the brief introduction, board your designated vehicle to start your journey to the wonderful meadows of famous Gulmarg. A travel of 1 hour on the mountainous track will be greeted by the famous slopes of Gulmarg meadows. On the way you could take a halt at Tangmarg for refreshment. *Note; vehicle will be changed, need to board snow jeep for journey from Tangmarg to Gulmarg* Stop at Zig point for the best photographs. Check in to your hotel and freshen up for lip smacking and finger licking dinner. Relax and enjoy the night stay to get yourself prepared for next day of amusement and activities.

Day 2: Gulmarg to Srinagar night trip with Gulmarg sightseeing

Stop At: Gulmarg, Gulmarg, Baramulla District, Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir
Gondola cable car ride is a ropeway that has two levels; Level 1 called as kongdori takes you to a height of 6000 ft and level two called as affarwat takes you to a hieght of 1200 ft. Gulmarg golf club and children’s park; both are at a walkable distance from any major hotel and can be accessed only by foot.

Gulmarg Gondola is the second longest and second highest cable car in the world and the prime attraction Gulmarg is known for. Divided into two phases, it ferries almost 600 people per hour to and from the Apharwat Mountain, which is where most of the winter sports happen in Gulmarg.

Phase 1 of Gulmarg Gondola ferries people from Gulmarg Resort to Kongdoori Station (middle station). It starts at 2,990 m and has a vertical rise of 400 m. Every hour it ferries 1500 people to the height of 3100 m from where several easy runs for skiing are accessible. Phase 2 of Gulmarg Gondola connects Kongdoori Mountain to Apharwat Peak. The cable car ascends 1,330 vertical metres to a height of nearly 4,000m and carries 600 people per hour. After arriving at the station, you can further have a 30 minutes trek to reach the mountaintop. From here the LOC or the Line of Control is visible.

A hidden attraction in Gulmarg is Strawberry Valley, unexploited by tourism and still holding its nascent beauty and charm. The emerald meadows with budding red strawberries look like a picture straight out from Garden of Eden. Covered in pristine elegance, with clear blue skies overhead and verdant green meads all along, a visit to Strawberry Valley is an enthralling experience.

Summer season is the busiest time of the year as the strawberries are ripe and ready to be harvested. Tourists are allowed to take a walk amidst rows of scarlet and verdure plantations. You can simply stroll along and awe at the beauty of nature or just take a basket of food and enjoy a wonderful picnic with your loved ones. The fields also boast of having a Bollywood connection in the yesteryears. Several movies have been shot at the destination owing to the ataraxy, vibrancy and overall charisma of the place.

Day 3: Sonamarg Day trip with night stay in Srinagar

Stop At: Sonmarg, Sonmarg, Ganderbal District, Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir
Your chauffer will drive you to Sonamarg, the meadow of gold for a night stay at this beautiful valley. Thajwas glacier is the main attraction in Sonamarg in April month. You will have to use ponies to reach the glacier.If you have a nick for water and heights then white water rafting and trekking is a must in sonmarg. Post sightseeing return to srinagar for dinner and overnight stay.

Thajiwas Glacier which lies at a distance of 3 km from Sonamarg in Kashmir is an exquisite beauty situated 3000 m above sea level covered in snow all through the year. The glacier is one of the most significant assets of Jammu and Kashmir and a must-visit for all the nature and trekking lovers. One gets to experience the beauty of the glacier by trekking all the way there from Sonamarg. There is also the option of hiring a pony to get to the glacier. On the way to the glacier, the tourists get to witness the beauty of the silver shining frozen lake along with all the greenery around. The contrast of both of them is what makes it enchanting to the eyes. On the way, the tourists also come across Gujjar tribes who have their camps set up and earn their livelihood here.

Zoji La is a high mountain pass located in the Dras, near Ladakh, at an altitude of 3528 m above the sea level. Connecting Kashmir to Dras and Suru Valley, Zoji La is known as one of the world’s most dangerous mountain roads. Translating to “mountain pass of blizzards”, it remains closed during winter due to heavy snowfall and avalanches.

Given the altitude and the places it travels to, Zoji La pass is known for its extraordinarily beautiful views and landscapes. Certain parts of the pass, especially, can be a bit of a dangerous ride, hence one must travel down this one, only with a seasoned driver, used to such steep and playful turns and roads.

Day 4: Srinagar to Pahalgam night trip with sightseeing of valleys

Stop At: Pahalgam, Pahalgam, Anantnag District, Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir
Enjoy your early breakfast and freshen up for a day of valley visits. Your personalized chauffer will drive you to Pahalgham. A drive of 2 hours will land you in Pahalgham. During your travel on your way you can visit the Awantipora Ruins and Saffron fields. Awantipora ruins are a number of ancient Hindu temples built by King Avantivarman (AD 855- 883) when he chose the site as his capital.
Check in your hotel to freshen up for a day tour to the Bollywood city of Kashmir.

During the winter months, Aru Valley becomes a winter wonderland covered with snow as far as the eyes can see. This makes it a perfect place for skiing. Betaab Valley is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Pahalgam which is a breathtaking combination of picturesque surroundings encircled by tall deodar trees and pine forests, with the Lidder River flowing right through it. The valley is located at a distance of 15 kilometres from Pahalgam in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Betaab Valley got its name from the Bollywood movie Betaab starring Sunny Deol and Amrita Singh shot here.

The valley falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwadi on the way to the Amarnath Temple Yatra and is one of the three angelic valleys of Pahalgam, the other two being Aru and Chandanwadi. Sprawling fertile pastures, snow-capped mountains and meandering streams are characteristic of Betaab valley. Apart from being well-known for this stunning landscape, the valley is also a renowned as a famous trekking base and camping site for travellers who want to explore the nearby regions or set out for the Amarnath Yatra.

Chandanwari, located 15 km from Pahalgam, is the starting point of the famous Amarnath Yatra. It is also famous for the snow sledging on a snow bridge. Surrounded by snow-dusted mountains and the Lidder River flowing by, Chandanwari is perfect to enjoy a picnic with your family and enjoy the natural beauty.

Chandanwari remains covered in snow from November to May which makes it ideal for sledging. However, the best time to visit Chandanwari is April to June as the weather is perfect for sightseeing during this time.

Day 5: Pahalgam to Srinagar night trip with sightseeing of gardens

Stop At: Nishat Garden, Main Road Nishat, Srinagar 191121 India
The Nishat Bagh is a 12 terraced garden located near Srinagar’s famous Dal Lake. It is the second-largest Mughal garden in Kashmir after Shalimar Bagh. Popularly known as “Garden of Bliss”, it has a splendid Mughal central water channel with several fountains, which is surrounded by tall Chinar trees. Nishat Bagh was designed and built in 1633 by Asif Khan, the elder brother of Nur Jehan.

Even though the layout of Nishat Bagh was based on the design of the Persian gardens, the actual landscaping was done in accordance with the terrain and water patterns unique to Kashmir Valley. A stream of standstill water divides the garden into two halves, and each level of the garden is marked by a raised embankment which has its collection of kaleidoscopic flowers. You can catch a magnificent view of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains as its backdrop.

Stop At: Shalimar Bagh, Srinagar India
Shalimar Bagh is a beautifully laid out Mughal garden, the largest of the three Mughal gardens in Srinagar (the other two being Nishat Bagh and Chashme Shahi). This pristine attraction was built in the year 1619 by the Mughal emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife Nur Jahan and lies overlooking the scintillating waters of the Dal Lake. It is now a public park and is known as the “crown of Srinagar”.

The chini khanas or arched niches placed behind waterfalls and the chinar trees are the highlights here. The term ‘Shalimar’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘Abode of Love’ and is known by several other names such as Faiz Baksh and Farah Baksh. Sprinkled generously with well-trimmed gardens and exquisite architecture, Shalimar Garden is a gentle blend of natural allure and man-made structures. Exhibiting the exemplary craftsmanship of Mughals in horticulture, the Mughal garden is quite popular with tourists from all over the world.
