Visit: Athirappilly Falls, Athirappilly 680721 India
You will be picked up in the morning from your hotel in Kochi for the 2-hour drive to Athirapilly Falls. As you approach the waterfall, keep a lookout for any wild elephants in the vicinity. They are part of the fauna here.
The Athirapilly waterfall is the biggest waterfall in Kerala. It drops down a height of 80 feet in several parallel streams and joins the River Chalakudy. The waterfall surges around big rocks before cascading down to the river. Such is the force of the waterfall that the turbulence of the water continues for nearly a mile as the river winds its way to the nearby dam of Thumburmuzhi. During the monsoon season, the waterfall is at its mightiest and most impressive.

Visit: Vazhachal Waterfalls, Athirappilly Panchayath, Thrissur India
Just 3 miles away, at the entrance of the Sholayar forest ranges lies the equally beautiful Vazhachal waterfall. The forest around the waterfall is home to a large number of bird species. It is the only place in India where four endangered species of Hornbills are found living together. For the more adventurous, there is also a hiking trail down the mountain to the base of the waterfall.
Afterwards stop at a nearby restaurant for lunch (beverage excluded). After lunch you will be driven back to Kochi and dropped off at your hotel.
