The gali is located near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most important Hindu temples in the world, and it is thought that the kachoris were originally sold to pilgrims who were visiting the temple. This is where the famous kachauris are fried and served fresh with chana and imli chutney. Arrive as early as 7 AM to beat the rush and dig into the hot fried kachauris.
